Safeguarding in Esports is tailored for safeguarding professionals and parents seeking a deeper understanding of this gaming landscape and its associated risks. Esports encompasses online environments, mentoring, and competition, each presenting unique challenges in the realm of safeguarding. It may come as a surprise that there is currently no centralised public authority overseeing child protection in esports.
During this live webinar, we will draw parallels with safeguarding initiatives in traditional sports as well as exploring the role of gambling in esports. As esports continues to grow, it's essential to prioritise safeguarding, drawing upon the lessons of traditional sports, and ensure a safe environment for the next generation of gamers who have grown up in the digital age.
