The rise in the ease of access and growing consumption of online pornography has been something many professionals are concerned about. Explore the impact pornography and sexual imagery has on young people, the brain and their behaviour and how such exposure can create pathways to harm.
Learning Objectives:
- Understand the context of pornography in today’s culture, the sexualisation of society and the 'normalisation' effect.
- Explore the impact pornography and sexual imagery has on young people.
- Consider what is 'healthy' sexual behaviour.
- Look at how you can address the issues related to pornography access, including guidance on talking to young people.
